The Most Underrated Christmas Reads For The Holiday Season

The Holiday Season is a wonderful time for reading classic such as the tales of Santa Claus, Ebeneezer Scrooge and everything in between. But aside from the plethora of Christmas children books, some unique Christmas-themed stories go beyond the realm of Hallmark Christmas moods.

Here is a list of great reads you have probably not heard of before that are worth curling up next to the fire and drinking hot chocolate.

The Legend of Holly Claus

I have a distinct memory of receiving this book. I lived in southern California and we had a freak snowstorm roll through and school was canceled for three days. Unfortunately, we also lost our internet connection so there wasn't much else that we could do other than play out in the snow in three layers of coats and sledding on boogie boards.

So to keep us occupied and avoid cabin fever my mom gave us each a book she planned to gift us on Christmas Day. And mine happened to be the Legend of Holly Claus.

After many years of infertility, Mr. and Mrs. Claus finally have a child to be an heir to the North Pole. But an evil demon freezes her heart confining her to only be in extremely cold climates to avoid her heart from melting. The art is gorgeous and has unique stakes and a cute romance subplot.
